KENYATAAN MEDIA OLEH AMERICK SINGH SIDHU

4hb Julai 2008, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

Politics - High Powered Drama

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/7/5/nation/21746980&sec=nation

Nothing playing in the theatres in recent weeks can equal the real life, high-stake political drama now playing before our eyes.

A murdered Mongolian woman who stubbornly refuses to fade away, a new sodomy allegation that has shaken the Opposition and probably dashed their dream of ever capturing the Federal Government, a private investigator who, after months of speculation, finally connected a top politician with the murdered Mongolian but retracted it barely 24-hours later, sent shockwaves across the political establishment as never before......

Politics - Oh Malaysia

http://sactyr.blogspot.com/2008/06/will-i-ever-return-to-malaysia.html

SADDEN TO HEAR FROM OUR FELLOWSHIP MALAYSIAN WHO HAS INTENDED TO BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN

When I first came to Australia in 2003, I didn't have this doubt of ever returning to Malaysia. I was as sure as a milking cow that I will go back to Malaysia to work after my studies. But then I was amazed with the country, fell in love with the people and their beliefs, and absolutely respect the system they have here. Five years on, I am a permanent resident of Australia.

People always say that the grass may look greener on the side, but more often that not, it won't be. But, just what if, the grass turned out to be much more greener?? Don't you want to graze there then?

The difference between permanent resident and citizen of Australia is just the voting rights and the right to work in the government, which a permanent resident does not have. So the question is, do I want to apply for citizenship of Australia, which I would be able to in a year's time, and cut off all national ties with my birth country?

The reason why I became a permanent resident in the first place is that I feel I am not safe in Malaysia anymore.....................

His family visited him at the Embassy at Jalan U Thant Sunday evening, PKR vice-president Azmin Ali said.

At a press conference earlier Sunday, Anwar's wife and PKR president Satin Seri Wan Azizah Ismail said the death threats had come less than a day after an aide of Anwar's had lodged a police report alleging he was sodomised by the one-time deputy prime minister.

She said PKR had released pictures of the aide showing him with cabinet ministers and their high-ranking staff, which she claimed was evidence of political assassination .........

Politics - Anwar 'Sodomise' MAN

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/6/29/nation/21693693&sec=nation

Hehehehe. Anwar was 'sodomised' again! What a dirty joke from them. I found a differential equation on the SO-DO-MICE. Yes, Anwar did formulate a strategic political outbreak to 'sodomise' MAN. Guest who is that MAN:

  • M - Mah ...........
  • A - Abd .............
  • N - Naj ..............

The new millenium proverb says: "He has 'sodomised' M before in 1998. He is 'sodomising' A right now in 2008. He will 'sodomise' N very soon in 2018." Its gonna be a 3 decade conspiracy.

Oooops! I didnt know that sodomise has a different meaning.

Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary

sodomy

noun [U] FORMAL OR LEGAL

the sexual act of putting the penis into a man's or woman's anus

Tea Break - 06

Richest - 'Unemployed'

This remark riled up Khairy Jamaluddin (BN-Rembau) who locked horns with veteran politician Lim Kit Siang (DAP-Ipoh Timor) in the Dewan Rakyat. The shouting match started when Khairy interrupted Lim’s debate on the royal address, where the DAP supremo was stressing a point on the government’s anti-corruption fight. Khairy asked Lim whether the other four states under the Pakatan Rakyat rule will follow Penang’s footstep and practise open tender for state projects.

“Are we going to see an uniformity in Perak, Kedah, Selangor and Kelantan as well for an open tender system?” asked the first time MP and son-in-law of Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

This led Lim to ask Khairy if he agreed with the Penang state government’s move and a ruckus erupted when the DAP leader took a swipe at the Umno Youth deputy chief.

The backbenchers joined in the fray.

“It seems he (Khairy) agrees and supports (Penang’s move), so we thank you. Whether this will be done in other states, we will discuss but what is most important is the principle of accountability, transparency and good governance.

“Among others we want to know how did a person who has declared himself as unemployed can become the richest unemployed in the world? How an unemployed can sell off his shares in ECM Libra with losses? Unemployed? Where did the money come from?” said Lim.

‘A simple, constructive question’

Although Lim did not mention names, this was an obvious reference to Khairy, who gave up the stake in the investment advisory group two years ago. The Rembau MP then cited the standing orders to defend himself. He however appeared calm and composed in rebutting Lim.

Khairy: Standing order 36 (9) states that no reference shall be made in any debate to the conduct or character of any MP other than the conduct in the capacity of MP… I ask a question which can be easily answered but I’m dragged into a question which is out of my conduct as a MP.

Deputy Speaker Ronald Kiandee: The standing order applies, we shall move on to another topic.

Lim: He is indeed the richest unemployed!

Nga Kor Ming (DAP-Taiping): Isn’t this is a case of siapa makan cili, siapa rasa pedas (the person who did wrong feels guilty)

Khairy: Ipoh Timor continues having the same attitude … I was only asking a constructive question, a simple question…

Deputy Speaker: You can’t debate on a MP’s conduct (outside the House).
Lim: This is not about the conduct, this is someone who is the richest unemployed in the world!

Deputy Speaker: Please proceed with other topics.

The Man - Tunku

Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah, CH (February 8, 1903 – December 6, 1990) usually known as "the Tunku" (a princely title in Malaysia), and also called Bapa Kemerdekaan (Father of Independence) or Bapa Malaysia (Father of Malaysia), was Chief Minister of the Federation of Malaya from 1955, and the country's first Prime Minister from independence in 1957. He remained Prime Minister after Sabah, Sarawak, and Singapore joined in 1963 to form Malaysia.

Born in Istana Pelamin, Alor Star, Kedah, Abdul Rahman was the fourteenth son and twentieth child of Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah, the twenty-fourth Sultan of Kedah. His mother, Cik Menjalara, was the Sultan's sixth wife and the daughter of Siamese nobleman, Luang Naraborirak (Kleb), a Thai district officer during the reign of King Rama V of Thailand.

In 1918, Abdul Rahman was awarded a Kedah State Scholarship to further his studies at St Catharine's College in the University of Cambridge, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1925. He was the first student from Kedah to study in the United Kingdom under the sponsorship of the Kedah State Government.

After his return to Malaya in 1949, Abdul Rahman was first posted at the Legal Officer's office in Alor Star. He later asked to be transferred to Kuala Lumpur, where he became a Deputy Public Prosecutor. He was later appointed as president of the Sessions Court. During this period, nationalism was running high among the Malays, with Datuk Onn Jaafar leading the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) in the struggle against Britain's Malayan Union. Abdul Rahman joined UMNO and became active in Malayan nationalist politics. He was popular and later became head of the Kedah branch of UMNO.

In August 1951 an internal crisis in UMNO forced Datuk Onn Jaafar to resign as party president. Abdul Rahman was elected as the new president, eventually holding the post for 20 years.

In 1954 Abdul Rahman led a delegation to London to seek independence for Malaya, but the trip proved to be unfruitful. The British were reluctant to grant independence unless there was evidence that the different races in Malaya were able to work together and cooperate in a new and independent country.

Race relations was the cause of Onn Jaafar stepping down. He wanted UMNO to be open to the Chinese and Indians but UMNO members were not ready to accept this. His successor, Abdul Rahman saw a way around this by forming a political alliance with the Malayan Chinese Association called the Alliance Party. The coalition proved to be popular among the people. The Alliance was later joined by the Malayan Indian Congress (MIC) in 1955, representing the Indian community.

In the same year, the first federal general election was held, and the Alliance Party (Perikatan) won fifty-one out of the fifty-two seats contested. Abdul Rahman was elected as Malaya's first Chief Minister.

Later in 1955 Abdul Rahman made another trip to London to negotiate Malayan independence, and 31 August 1957 was decided as the date for independence. When the British flag was lowered in Kuala Lumpur on independence day, Abdul Rahman led the crowd in announcing "Merdeka!" (independence).

The Man - Tun Mahathir

Mahathir was born on December 20, 1925, in Alor Star, the capital of the northern state of Kedah. His father was a school teacher of Indian origin, specifically Malayalee (people who speak Malayalam also known as KAKA, not to be confused with Malay), having migrated from the southern state of Kerala, while his mother was a Malay. Despite being only half Malay and having acknowledged his Indian heritage, Mahathir generally considers himself to be Malay.

Active in politics since 1945, beginning with his involvement in the Anti-Malayan Union Campaign, Mahathir joined the United Malays National Organization (UMNO) at its inception in 1946. As State Party Chairman, and Chairman of the Political Committee, he inadvertently angered some quarters with his proposal that the selection of candidates be based on certain qualifications for the 1959 general election. Hurt by accusations that he was scheming to put up candidates who were strongly allied to him, Mahathir refused to take part in the national election that year.

Mahathir became the Prime Minister of Malaysia on 16 July 1981 when Tun Hussein Onn stepped down due to health reasons. He was the nation's first Prime Minister that came from a modest social background, whereas the first three prime ministers were members of the royal or elite families.

After 22 years in office, Mahathir retired on October 31, 2003, making him one of Asia's longest-serving political leaders. Upon his retirement on 31 October 2003, Mahathir was awarded a "Tun"-ship, Malaysia's highest civilian honour.
